Fun Dog Shows Cork

Fun dog shows Cork is a fantastic organization that support well deserved charities by holding fun dog shows for both canines and their owners to have fun and get competitive here in County Cork.

I was lucky enough to have come across the fun dog show organization by a friend sharing a post over on Facebook. We attended our very first show when we saw the advertisement which was held over two years ago. And today , because of that show we have a new hobbie and have great passion for showing.

The organization is held by Richard and Julie Cowhig who deserve so much credit for the amount of work and effort that they put into the shows. The results and funds raised for the  well deserved charities has been fantastic over the past few years ,and I think more dog owners need to know about the fun shows held throughout the year as they are a fantastic day out for the whole family and your furry friend too of course! While still supporting very special charities.

What do the shows involve?

The shows are  held mostly around spring/summer in many locations around cork and county. 

The best thing of all is that any variety dog of all shapes and sizes are able to enter! From rescue dogs to cuddly pet dogs they are all welcome. 

It is a fantastic way to get puppies socialized, owners to interact with their dogs and meet new dog owners who share the same interests and incourages children to look after their pet .

All that is required is that you have fun! 

Each show has a very friendly and exciting atmosphere and the dogs just love the spotlight to show off their skills and cuteness!

There is classes for everyone, categories are based on your dogs size and there’s many fun classes like children’s handling , the dog the judge would like to take home and so much more !

If your dog has what it takes to be crowned best in show you get through to the “final” if you dog gets placed first in any class. There is fantastic prizes up for grabs at every show , food , trophies , rosettes the lot!!

All funds raised are dontated to the charities . Hundreds have been raised thanks to these shows and we need to keep it going !!
